History
Plekhanov Russian University of Economics was founded in 1907. During its 114-year history, the university has always been closely connected with national economy: development of commerce and technologies of food production in the beginning of XX century, then formation of commodity science, growth of the cooperative movement, creation of state economic statistics and systems of planning, economic reforms of 1965-1970, macroeconomics and sectoral studies in the 1980s, promotion of market structures formation in 1990s.
Education
The University provides 2-level training on a free of charge and paid basis
I level – bachelor degree programs
II level – master degree programs
Research
Strong scientific infrastructure is developed at the University to support regular increase of research work competencies of academic staff and scientific schools. The University is working to solve fundamental and applied problems of socio-economic and scientific-technological development of Russia.

Liked the practical learning
The teamwork and active discussions with classmates made studying engaging and dynamic. Some courses could include more real-world applications and case studies to better prepare students for professional challenges. A bit more flexibility in project topics would also help. Overall, my study experience at Plekhanov College was intensive, rewarding, and enriching. I gained strong knowledge in my field, improved my teamwork and communication skills, and developed a practical mindset that I can carry forward in my career.
best of the rest
overall, great experience but not entirely perfect. the English program of management with a specialisation in marketing is probably the best one from the similar programs in russia. the professors are all cool with good English, the workload is quite intense but bearable. if you study and do a least something, all is going to be good. student life is very very active but quite hard to combine with this particular program. one problem is the lack of logic in the subject sequence and their content, great opportunities for the internships and exchange programs <3
Not so famous, but high-quality!
To be honest, my university is not top even in Russia. But it is the "Hospitality Management" program that is well developed here. We study a lot of theory about the hotel business and, in principle, management. 2 times a year we have an internship, we go to the hotels of the world chains: Kempinski, Hilton, Radisson, etc. We look at how top managers work. From the 3rd year we will already have an industrial practice, when we ourselves will already be working. It's good when the university gives such an opportunity.

Campus life
Plekhanov University is lucky to have its campus in the very center of Moscow, half an hour's walk from the Kremlin. The campus includes six buildings with classrooms, offices, and laboratories, a club and a students' dormitory, which is only 5 minutes' walk away from the campus. The Dean's Office of IBS-Plekhanov is in building.Computer labs and the International office are located in building of the University.The library and the department of Russian language. Classrooms are in all buildings, our schedules always indicate the room number and, in brackets, the building number.The nearest Metro station is Serpukhovskaya (grey line), which is only 2 minutes' walk away from the main building.
