NETI is a research community of enthusiasts. We work to discover the world, explore its secrets and tell the world about them. NSTU — NETI (from 1953 to 1992 - the Novosibirsk Institute of Electrical Engineering) was established to educate a new generation of scientists, engineers and inventors in Siberia after World War II.
Education
NSTU offers new English-taught Master programs both for international and Russian students. Experienced teaching staff provide up-to-date teaching to help students become highly-qualified specialists in various engineering areas worldwide. Open the new horizons for your future career! Research
Our laboratories and workshops are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment to support the teaching and learning process. Student services
A continuous process of learning and implementation of research and innovation activities is carried out in 8 educational buildings, equipped with all necessary equipment and software. Comfortable lecture halls, laboratories equipped with instrumentation, computer classes with modern software.There are conference rooms or special rooms for events that gather a large number of participants, an assembly hall, etc. in the buildings where the research and educational process is carried out. There are special rooms for holding web-seminars and online conferences. A number of buildings are occupied by research institutes and university centers.
Housing services
NSTU prides in having a comfortable and well-equipped campus. The campus of the NSTU is conveniently located near the public transport stop «Subway station «Studencheskaya»» which provides an easy access to any district of Novosibirsk by bus, trolley bus or subway.
Seven student dormitories, as well as a dormitory for postgraduate students and young scientists (#8) are compactly situated within walking distance from the university. Foreign students live in the dormitory for international students (with a shower in each residential unit, the shared kitchen and laundry on each floor (for 12 residential units). In total, NSTU dormitories can accommodate more than 4 000 people.
Medical services
The NSTU polyclinic is a multidisciplinary medical center of the campus. Foreign students can visit polyclinic on a paid basis or according to voluntary health insurance policy.All foreign students who come to study at NSTU must have a voluntary health insurance policy issued in Russia in any insurance company with accreditation, or issued in the home country.
Sports facilities
NSTU Sport and Recreation center is one of the biggest university sports centers in Novosibirsk Oblast.
Novosibirsk State Technical University is the only university in Novosibirsk that has certified sports facilities which are included in the all-Russian register of sports facilities. They host major regional and international competitions.
The university supports and promotes more than 30 types of sport. University sports groups successfully train sportsmen to be prominent and distinguished in their field, with many sportsmen gaining leadership in City, Regional, All-Russian and International Competitions.
Student clubs
The university provides students with the possibility to discover their talents, such as singing, painting, sewing, playing musical instruments, acting and photography. The NSTU Cultural Center is a place that unites all creative teams. It’s situated in a special building.There are more than 20 student creative teams with 800 students and staff members involved in the Cultural Center. Many teams are laureates of international, All-Russian, regional and city-based festivals and contests. NSTU has been winning the first place on the regional festival of student amateur creative activity Student Spring in Siberia for 12 years now.
