History
Until 1838 or 1901, the history of today's Technical University of Mittelhessen goes back. From the former artisan school or trade academy developed the Technical University of Central Hessen with their locations.
Education
The THM offers a wide range of future-oriented courses in the economic and engineering sciences and sees itself as having a special responsibility to promote the integration of refugees through the provision of educational opportunities.
Research
In order to sharpen its research profile, the THM has established interdisciplinary competence centers in its research areas, the strengths of which lie particularly in application-oriented research. The working groups in the Competence Centers offer young researchers excellent research opportunities and cooperate with other scientists at home and abroad as well as the business community.

Good online delivery
Interesting course, but did not see much of the campus and facilities for a significant period of time due to COVID and online uni. Lecturers handled the situation good though - many competent professors, who encouraged questions. Also a lot of applicable material being taught, that can be useful as a reference for jobs later.

Housing services
After submitting an application all incoming students from our partner institutions will be assigned a room in one of the halls of residence. The Student Services Organization ("Studentenwerk“) is responsible for organizing accommodations. As soon as you receive your acceptance letter from THM, we will send you the link so you can register for a room in a residence hall online.
Library services
The library offers guided tours for all new students at the beginning of the semester.
ICT services
All students of the THM receive free internet access. When you pick up your chip card at the Information Desk, you receive a TAN list with an initial password.
Campus life
A new study program of the Technical University of Central Hesse starts. In research and development, THM teams create innovations for industrial practice. The university expands its international cooperation network and thus offers students additional opportunities for studying abroad. The diploma thesis of a graduate receives a prize. A new professor has started work. The THM invites you to public lectures. Here you will find news from teaching, research and the entire university life.
Sports facilities
The THM Fitness Studio is located on the Gießen campus in house A13.Cardio machines and multi-gyms are available on the 3rd floor to strengthen the muscles.
