As a higher education establishment, our aim is to provide students with a professional environment in which they can study successfully. Student-centered teaching and learning is thus a particular priority of the university, and one which we are continually striving to enhance. In the process, lecturers and students alike take responsibility for committing to the process of teaching and learning.Shifting from a theory-based to a practice-oriented teaching approach calls for innovative teaching and learning cultures that encourage students to work autonomously, place problems in perspective and focus on application.
Research
As one of the largest universities of applied sciences in Austria with a wide variety of departments, it is important for us to offer research-oriented teaching, to establish research and development at the intersection of the disciplines and to further expand this position in the future.

Review of Program
Joining the Global Sales and Marketing program has been a game-changer, offering a deep dive into sales management, B2B marketing, and intercultural management. It’s all about real-world application here, pushing beyond theory to prepare us for actual business challenges. The program reveals the vast potential in B2B markets, teaching the essentials of forging successful business relationships. A standout feature is its focus on navigating cultural differences, thanks to a diverse range of professors from across the globe, enriching our understanding of international business. Language and cultural training is another key pillar, enhancing our communication skills and cultural insights. Moreover, the emphasis on developing both social and practical skills sets us up for leadership roles in a variety of cultural settings. Overall, the Global Sales and Marketing program equips us with the necessary tools to succeed in the global business landscape, making it an invaluable experience for anyone looking to excel in this field.
University and Programme Review
FHWien of WKW is Austria's leading university of applied sciences for management and communication. Closely networked with domestic companies, FHWien of WKW offers a holistic and practice-oriented academic education for currently more than 2,800 Bachelor and Master students. Two thirds of our teaching staff come directly from the business world. FHWien of WKW cooperates closely with companies from various industries in numerous projects. Mandatory work placements for all students additionally promote the practical relevance of the education. A broad business know-how and entrepreneurial thinking characterize our graduates and junior managers of tomorrow: Practical relevance and a well-founded, globally oriented generalist education form the optimal balance. Overall it's a quite sufficient Bachelor's program
The majority of the lecturers are extremely helpful and eager to teach us from the heart. Even though it can feel a little too crowded at times, studying here is not overly compelling when compared to other universities.

Housing services
The UAS BFI Vienna does not provide student accommodation, however Vienna is a student-friendly city and there are many different types of accommodation to choose from, like student dormitories, private rented apartments or shared apartments.
