Ghent University's two-year programme Master in Marine and Lacustrine Science and Management (Oceans & Lakes) addresses students with a background in sciences. Oceans & Lakes is an interuniversity programme. General requirements
Oceans and Lakes is open to holders of a bachelor's degree in biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, chemistry, geology, geography and geomatics, bio-engineer science or environmental sciences. For other bachelors in science and applied science, equivalency will be evaluated based on scientific competences and skills of the students by the Oceans and Lakes Steering Committee.
Applicants must have a bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years with good overall scores (at least upper second class of equivalent) from a university or recognized equivalent.
