This curriculum follows a shared approach of blended learning and cross-institutional teaching. Part of the courses are delivered online by partner universities, while the other part is taught on campus. This structure promotes strong networking among students from different institutions, as they attend classes together and actively collaborate on assignments and projects, enhancing both their academic and professional connections.
The Year 1 features a common curriculum delivered at three entry universities:

General requirements
- A completed Bachelor’s degree worth 180 ECTS credits or equivalent in one of the following subjects: physics, chemistry, engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering or electrical engineering.
- Applicants must have achieved an average grade of at least 70%. This is crucial to be eligible for the Master’s in Sustainable Energy Systems.
- You will also need to submit a separate letter giving your reasons for application.
- If you want to study at Eindhoven Technical University (TU/e), you will need to meet higher English requirements. More info in the FAQs section.
