Overview
The Mechanical Engineering and Sustainable Energy Technologies program offered by Staffordshire University provides student the possibility to gain skills in the major engineering functions allowing you to work in a senior technical or project management role within industry.
Your final thesis can be chosen to suit your specific career aspirations. We can also connect you with local engineering companies.
Our modern workshop facilities include specialist mechanical and thermodynamic laboratory support, a design studio with over 70 workstations, manufacturing facilities including CNC machining, rapid prototyping systems and a fully equipped test laboratory. You’ll also have the opportunity to use a wide range of software tools for design and simulation.
You’ll take eight taught modules that cover a broad range of activities involved in designing and validating new products and machinery.
