Key facts
Educational Technology experts examine, for example, how students in the classroom or "friends" on social networks use new technologies to collect, share and use knowledge. You develop new technologies for education and training and design innovative learning environments.
In addition to the core topics from educational sciences, design, research methods and programming, students can deal with content from an extensive elective area, for example artificial intelligence or human-computer interaction. In addition, they can complete tutor training and an internship.
Saarland University's master’s program is designed as a face-to-face course and requires personal presence at Saarland University. Since all modules and exams are held in English, very good knowledge of English is required.

General requirements
- A bachelor's degree (or an equivalent degree) in computer science (or computer science, media informatics), educational sciences (or pedagogy, media pedagogy) or psychology. The overall grade of the degree must be at least 3.0 or better. If there are vacancies and the applicant has achieved an excellent final grade (1.5 or better), Bachelor degrees in other subject areas can also be accepted.
- A letter of motivation.
- Proof of English language skills at at least level B2 (GER)
