Psychology and Education of Exceptional Children is one of the most respected and well recognized majors in psychology. It promotes professional competence in special education by providing knowledge-based theory, practice and research. It enables students to establish the relation between educational theories and practices for developing a curriculum and to meet pupil’s diverse needs.

The Department of Psychology and Education of Exceptional Children aims to promote, maintain and restore mental health and prevent dissatisfaction in people of all ages. We also concerned with optimizing potential ability, mental health, self-helping, independence and quality of life through training, educating, counseling, psychotherapy, and rehabilitation practices. Therefore, we are going to undertake the best practice in education and research in a progressive and supportive environment for both educators and students. Our mission is to introduce students with the latest world knowledge of psychology for children with special needs, to consult, to offer community service, to inform people with inclusion of exceptional children in the society, to perform innovative research, and to connect with similar institutions. Toward achieving the aforementioned vision and mission, our faculty members work incredibly hard to provide excellent research and dynamic education. Throughout this aim we work in collaboration with other universities at national and international levels.
