About the programme
The Master in Music Business and Management is constructed for students with the desire to work with the idea development and entrepreneurship within national and international music industry. Studies include subjects such as: marketing, economy, music, management and law. Students get a significant insight into Norwegian and international music industry with a strong focus on issues related to the development of new markets, revenue streams, new technologies and challenges within the area of copyright.
Students taking this specialisation can be part of the research group “Music Management” at the faculty’s research platform PMRU.
The specialisation in Music Business and Management is a specialisation in the Master’s Programme in Popular Music.

The general basis for admission to the master's programme is in accordance with the regulations concerning the requirements for master's degrees stipulated by the Ministry of Education and Research. The general requirement is a completed bachelor's degree, a cand.mag. degree or another degree or vocational qualification of minimum three years duration.
Further regulations regarding admission are in accordance with the admissions regulations for studies and courses at the University of Agder. Supplementary rules for admission to the particular master's programme in question have been stipulated under the provision of these regulations
