Overview
What will I learn?
As a student in the Hydrogen Systems and Enabling Technologies programme at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) you will get an extensive multidisciplinary knowledge of hydrogen technologies and systems.
You will learn how to design, size, optimise and operate hydrogen systems and related enabling technologies. You get a sufficient level of systematic overview which enables you to analyse the complex interactions in hydrogen systems.
You can choose between the following specialisation tracks:- Hydrogen production through catalytic reactors technologies or Fuel cell systems engineering at Universitat Politècnia de Catalunya (UPC)
- Hydrogen Safety at Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU)
- Chemical Process Technology at University of Technology Eindhoven
Programme Structure
- During the first and second semesters, students will be trained in the fields of physical chemistry, thermodynamics, catalysis, materials , electrochemistry, chemical plants and initial approach to hydrogen technologies.
- The third semester offers different skills and specialization tracks: in H2 production through catalytic reactors technologies or Fuel cell systems engineering at Universitat Politècnia de Catalunya (UPC), in Hydrogen Safety at Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Chemical Process Technology at University of Technology Eindhoven.
- The fourth semester is devoted to the internship and Master thesis project, that can be prepared either in a research institution or in the private sector. For the fourth semester, students will be registered at the University where they spend the third semester.
