Overview
Scenography from Østfold University College engage in artistic research, curate and organize seminars in connection with their MA project topics.
Quick Facts:
- The courses are based on the study programme and are adapted to the needs and specific interests of each study group. Classes emphasize practical exploration of scenographic projects, in- and outside the academy. They include workshops, study trips, self-studies, theory classes and reading, as well as possibilities for exchange.
- Graduates will have qualifications commensurate with an advanced knowledge of the extended field of scenography for the performing arts, in museum and exhibition design, design for film and video production as well as in art for urban and other public spaces.
- International guest artists, scholars and professionals as well as permanent faculty with a background in both, theory and practice, run workshops at NTA’s facilities and outside venues.
- The study groups consists of a maximum of 6 students who are tutored in groups and individually towards their specific study goals, and their final MA project, by NTA’s faculty and external teachers. A continuous dialogue and feedback with the respective tutors and the final term evaluation assure progression throughout the two years of studies.

- A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent education of at least 180 ECTS credits in scenography, architecture, visual art, the performing arts or other relevant artistic education at bachelor's level.
- Applicants who do not have a bachelor's degree in scenography or architecture must document their skills and abilities to communicate projects by means of drawings, models, photography or other media.
