Overview

The Sustainable Refurbishment course at Solent University aims to produce specialist refurbishment designers with the vision and skills to improve the performance of existing building stock in UK and international markets.

Key features

During your studies, you'll develop an holistic approach to reducing the carbon footprint of existing buildings and gain essential skills in the design and production process of low-energy, sustainable refurbishments, using both passive and active strategies. You'll have access to Solent's excellent built environment facilities, working with up-to-date tools used by the building industry to achieve sustainable refurbishment, including building information modelling and globally renowned sustainability assessment benchmarks such as BREEAM and LEED.
