Overview
This Biotechnology and AI programme designed by SupBiotech Paris provides students with the opportunity of exploiting the forces of AI in the face of current and future biotechnology challenges, in areas of medical research, agriculture, the environment, or the pharmaceutical industry.
The Master of Science takes place over two years, at a pace designed to encourage the development of skills at company level, but also linguistically, with courses and lectures in English and the completion of cross-disciplinary projects, as well as a long work placement at the end of the 1st year. The two-year Master’s offers students the opportunity to:
- Use AI to process and analyse massive and heterogeneous biological data
- Understand the importance of using AI and bioinformatics in the world of biotechnologies
- Develop the qualities needed for professional integration, particularly through work-study programmes
- Develop the managerial and cross-disciplinary skills needed to lead teams in a department specialising in biotechnology
Internship and professional training compensation
In addition to the modules and projects that you will follow at SupBiotech and in the 2 other schools of the MSc, the first year of your Master’s degree will end with a long- term work placement in a biotechnology and AI company.
This placement will enable you to apply what you have learned during your first semester directly in the field. This period in a company will also be a key element of your second semester.
The second year of the Master’s programme will be organised differently. You will be able to sign an apprenticeship contract with a company that will allow you to alternate between a three-week period in the company and a week in the classroom. The combination of the two will enable you to develop your expertise in the fields of biotechnology and AI.
In addition to advanced vocational training, you will also be taught French, enabling you to achieve a B1 level.
