Overview
The basis of Micro and Nano Systems Technology programme is the corresponding research community at University of South-Eastern Norway, which constitutes one of the three intellectual junctions for Norway’s efforts in micro- and nanotechnology, with extended collaboration with industry, academia and research institutions; regionally, nationally and internationally.
Where can I work?
- After graduating in micro- and nano system technology you will be able to work within micro- and nanotechnology in industry, academia and in research institutions.
- Within companies that develop and produce microelectronic and micro- and nano systems, you can work in product development, manufacturing technology, production management, quality management and project management.

General requirements
This programme requires a Bachelor's degree in micro/nanosystems technology, electronics engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, bioengineering, physics, materials science, or a closely related area that contains minimum 120 ECTS credits specifically relevant for the program. In addition you must have passed the following:
- Mathematics at the level of Mathematics III (at USN), or the equivalent
- A bachelor course in Basic Analogue Technique.

The living costs include the total expenses per month, covering accommodation, public transportation, utilities (electricity, internet), books and groceries.
Funding
Buskerud and Vestfold University College does not charge tuition fees, and thus we offer no scholarships in general.
However, from time to time, we offer some scholarships covering the living expences and travel through the Norwegian Quota Scheme.
