Overview

The MSc in Sustainable Architecture at Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) aims to educate and train building professionals in the analysis and implementaion of solutions for lowering the environmental impact of buildings in a life-cycle perspective. Students in the programme are trained in both the development of scientific research works and in developing architectural design projects aiming for a zero-emission built environment.

General requirements

The programme is open to both international and Norwegian students with a 3-year Bachelor degree in Architecture, Engineering or Urban Planning.
Students with a background in other relevant fields may also be considered for admission, further to a discussion with the Master coordinator and Advisory Board.
A minimum of 30 ECTS related to architectural design or building construction is generally required in order to get access into the programme.
