Foothill Transfer Gem
Foothill is a great community college. The faculty care a lot about the success of their students. Most classes are analogous in difficulty to 4-year college courses. Many students have successfully transferred from Foothill to 4-year colleges both in-state and out-of-state. I've actually enjoyed my professors at Foothill better than many/most of the professors at the 4-year university I attended.
My review of FVSU
I really do enjoy my university because it is a smaller university, and I am able to have a deeper connection with everyone around me. There are a few ups and downs when it comes to there not being enough housing for the incoming people. I would recommend if you would like to come you should make sure you apply early and get housing early as well.

Campus life
The FSU campus is constantly evolving to meet the changing needs of our growing student body. We are a midsize university set on 92 acres where 75 percent of the buildings are new or newly renovated.
Sports facilities
- The Health, Physical Education and Recreation Complex, completed in 1995 and known as one of the best in the NCAA's Division II, was named after Felton J. Capel, a Fayetteville State University Board of Trustee Member.
- The Health, Physical Education and Recreation Building also boasts an indoor walking track, an aerobics studio, racquetball courts, outdoor tennis courts, weight rooms and the athletic department's athletic training facility.
- In addition to serving as the home floor for the Broncos' men's and women's basketball teams, Capel Arena also has hosted graduations, concerts, step shows and probates. The arena also hosts the annual Athletics Banquet.
Student clubs
- People often learn most by doing; so, we encourage you to take advantage of the many opportunities offered outside of the classroom. You will find these opportunities in your residence hall and through student organizations.
- If you would like to learn more about campus activities, help organize a club, become a member of an organization or make suggestions about activities or programs.
Accreditation
Noted for excellence in teacher education, FSU has accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) since 1954.
