History
Johnson & Wales University (JWU) was founded as a business school in 1914 in Providence, Rhode Island, by Gertrude I. Johnson and Mary T. Wales. From its origins as a school devoted to business education, JWU has grown to a junior college, senior college, and ultimately university status.

An innovative educational leader, the university offers degree programs in arts and sciences, business, culinary arts, design and engineering, education, health and wellness, hospitality, nutrition and physician assistant studies. Its unique model integrates arts and sciences and industry-focused education with work experience and leadership opportunities, inspiring students to achieve professional success and lifelong personal and intellectual growth.

Supportive Jessup Online Design
I am in the Buisness major online program for design in which they are partnered with Bethel School of Technology. It has been an amazing experience. Jessup academic staff have been there to help they offer amazing informative workshops and seminars. I love the fact that they have online access and their adult program. Gives anyone from various walks of life encouragement and affordability.
university culture
The university culture is excellent, and when I went to this university at that time, I felt very familiar with the teachers and the other students, and that motivated me to be highly motivated and powerful in my studies and academic programs.
UPJV review
I have been a student at UPJV in Amiens for three years. The campus facilities at UPJV are generally satisfactory. The libraries are well-equipped, and the laboratories provide the necessary resources for practical learning. However, some facilities may require updates or improvements. There are student organizations and events that contribute to a sense of community. The university offers support services, including counseling and career guidance.
Student services
Student Services at JWU provides personal and professional development support for students across various aspects of campus life, from academic support to meals and housing, health services, and involvement in campus programs and student organizations.
Housing services
JWU offers a variety of living options, including halls with private or common bathrooms, suites and apartment-style units. Depending on the hall, occupancy in each suite or apartment-style unit ranges from one to six residents. Each building offers something uniquely different to meet the needs of every resident.
Occupancy options vary by hall, with choices ranging from one to six residents.
All residence halls are smoke free.
The Downcity Campus, located in the heart of Providence, houses students enrolled in the Arts & Sciences, Business, Hospitality, and Technology programs.
The Harborside Campus primarily houses students enrolled in the College of Culinary Arts.
Library services
The JWU Providence Library gives students the space and tools they need to navigate and synthesize today's complex world of information, providing access to a wide range of scholarly, literary and trade publications, including books, eBooks, articles, images, videos, and websites plus the support of librarians and information specialists on campus or online.
Medical services
We emphasize prevention of health problems and offer direct health services on campus, combined with referrals to hospitals and specialists when needed.
All student (resident and commuters) regardless of insurance carrier may utilize our health service clinics at no cost.
Campus life
Johnson & Wales University operates campuses in four locations:
In Providence, the university revitalized close to 100 acres of waterfront alongside our Harborside Campus.
In North Miami, the school purchased the closed North Miami General Hospital and began the steady transformation of a disparate collection of buildings into a campus community.
In Denver the campus focal point, historic Treat Hall, is being fully renovated into a multi-use student services building to be called Centennial Hall.
In Charlotte, JWU moved to a blighted area being redeveloped; today the campus encompasses 8 buildings on 13 acres in Uptown Charlotte.
