IIT(ISM) Dhanbad review
Its one of the best engineering institutes in india. Its undoubtedly the best in earth sciences. However it lacks in the area of natural science research. I studied under department of physics, and my department is surely improving and I am optimistic about its position in India in coming years.

Placement cell is ran like a mafia
Not even joking, the placement cell is literally ran like a mafia, dont wanna take names coz that might get me in trouble, but they will blackmail, threaten you. They will threaten you with debarment from placements with little to no support, in 2024 placements they banned placements for dsatm for one whole month. Usually lectures can be held accountable due to constant evaluation and feedback, but the placement cell here is ran like a different entity, which means no connection or understanding between the students and the placement cell. needless to say this placement cell filled with whole lot of anxiety just because of their incompetence, and because none of them are held accountable these so called "placement heads" think they live in a different plane of existence. Tldr its a clown show.
