History
Comenius University in Bratislava is the oldest university in the Slovak Republic. It was founded on June 27th, 1919 and follows the university tradition of the Academia Istropolitana which was established in Bratislava by Matthias Corvinus, the Hungarian King, in 1465.

Top-Notch Data Science Program in Slovakia
I really enjoyed the Data Science program at Comenius University - it teaches you everything you need to get started in the field. You learn all the basics, from essential algorithms and data structures to linear algebra, analysis, and statistics, in a very clear way. The program is well-structured, hands-on, and really prepares you for real-world work. Honestly, it’s the best Slovak program for studying Data Science, and I’d recommend it to anyone serious about learning the full foundation.
Consider your options
It's okay school, but there are of course better options. Some proffesors are nice, but most of them are not great. Overall score of Comenius University is highest in Slovakia though. Lots of international students.
Enriching experience
Comenius University in Bratislava offers an enriching experience with its diverse community and excellent facilities. The professors are wonderful, and the staff members are very helpful. Although the courses are intense, they are manageable. The university's various locations around the vibrant city of Bratislava make it a great place to study. The city itself is beautiful, filled with young people, making it easy for international students to feel at home.

Housing services
- Comenius university ensures accomodation of students in accordance of the law about universities. The distribution of accommodation capacity within the faculty is governed by the rules and criteria issued by the rector of CU.
- CU in Bratislava has accommodation facilities CU Mlyny and CU Družba. Separately, the Faculty of Evangelical Theology of CU and the Faculty of Roman Catholic Theology of Cyril and Methodius of CU provide accommodation for their students. In Martin, students of Jessenius's Faculty of Medicine of the Comenius University are provided with accommodation by the local dormitory.
Library services
Comenius University Academic Library (CU AL) is a central scientific and information workplace focusing on information support of research and education at the Comenius University in Bratislava. Academic Library provides library, information, bibliographic, documentation, retrieval and other services for its users (mostly students, teaching staff and academic community).

Medical services
Comenius University provides primary health care for students in health centers that are directly in the dormitory.

Campus life
- Družba Dormitory is situated near the city centre. The faculty of Natural Sciences is approximately a 5-minute walking distance. The Faculties of Law and Medicine are reachable by public transport in about 15 minutes. Our dormitory is ca 100 meters away from the riverbank of the Danube.

Sports facilities
The Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, Comenius University offers students possibility to rent various sport facilities (tennis court, basketball court, beach volleyball court, mini-football field, football pitch) with discount prices (column „cena pre Školy“).
