Overview
Ther Master of Arts (MA) degree in Communication Management is specifically targeted at professionals in communication-related fields and students seeking an advanced degree in communication. As a student in our program, you’ll explore practical and theoretical applications in a variety of challenging real-world communication contexts. The classes are offered in the evenings and on weekends to make them easier to fit into your already-busy schedule.
When we say extra oomph, we mean it. We have one of the top programs in the country, thanks to our impressive number of faculty publications, which is an indicator of the quality of our research and scholarship. You'll complete 36 hours of coursework with classes such as Source Credibility, Message Construction, Political Communication, Health and Med Communication, Small Group Dynamics, and Nonverbal Communication. You'll also complete one of two plans.
Plan I (thesis option) is better if you're interested in working toward a PhD or pursuing a career in research.
Plan II (non-thesis option) requires that you complete a project about what you've learned in the program. Finally, we'll do all of this on nights and weekends so you can fit school into your already busy schedule.
