General requirements

Have a four-year engineering baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution (or equivalent institution for international applicants) in Mechanical, Biomedical, or similar programme. Qualified applicants without an engineering baccalaureate degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, or similar programme with degrees in other fields will be considered for admission on a case-by-case basis (additional preparatory coursework should be anticipated). Applicants are required to have undergraduate coursework in mechanical measurement and instrumentation, mechatronics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, system dynamics and control or equivalent coursework.

Have satisfied one of the following conditions:
Attained a GPA of at least 2.5 in the baccalaureate degree programme
Attained a GPA of at least 2.5 in the last 60 semester (90 quarter) units attempted
A one-page statement of purpose.
Most recent resume.
