College Student Personnel (CSP) at Ohio University's curriculum integrates theory and practice, blending courses in student development theory, student affairs administration, counselling, and higher education with hands-on experience in student affairs offices at Ohio University or at neighbouring institutions. The program requires the equivalent of two years of full-time study and follows national standards for professional education, while also personalizing study in order to meet individual needs.

Individuals from across the country come to Ohio University to study in the Masters in College Student Personnel program. Approximately 20-25 students enroll each year in this cohort-based program. Over the past forty years, our graduates have attained significant leadership positions in colleges, universities, and professional associations.

Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent: Admission requires an earned bachelor's degree from a U.S. college or university accredited by a regional accrediting association, or an international degree that is equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's degree from a college or university recognized and approved by the Ministry of Education or Commission responsible for higher education in the country where the degree is earned.
Official transcripts: Applicants are required to submit one official transcript from each post-secondary institution attended, regardless of whether or not a degree was earned or the credits are reflected on a separate transcript as transfer credit.
Letters of recommendation. Applicants must submit three letters of recommendation.
Statement of Purpose: Applicants must submit a two-page statement of purpose.
Resume or Curriculum Vita: This should also be treated as one of the most important items in your application package.
