Overview

The Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner program from Emory University prepares nurses for advanced practice through a course of study focused on the primary care of patients and their families from adolescence through end of life. Emphasis is focused on the prevention and management of chronic disease in the adult population, through pharmacologic, behavioral and relationship development.

Graduates are prepared to sit for the Adult/Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner exam administered by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Association of Nurse Practitioners Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner Exam.
