You will study research methods and how social factors influence and shape our economy and apply those analytical skills to working in business, government, and nonprofit sectors.
This program in Social and Applied Economics by Wright State University develops professional economists who can solve contemporary problems with a unique skill set created by a curriculum that bridges the gap between research and the application of research.
Our curriculum stresses applied research using traditional and nontraditional methods and takes advantage of our faculty’s diverse teaching and research activities.
You are encouraged to develop and evaluate new approaches to economic problem solving while building the skills to work in business, government, and nonprofit sectors or continue your education.

General requirements

A four-year bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Your bachelor's degree does not have to be in business.

A good academic foundation for graduate study as reflected in the applicant's cumulative undergraduate* grade point average (GPA) on a four-point scale. Applicants who have successfully completed an American graduate degree (or equivalent international graduate degree as determined by international admissions), will be reviewed based on cumulative graduate GPA.

Submit an application to the Graduate School for the M.B.A. program.

Pay the $40 nonrefundable application fee for the Graduate School M.B.A. application. If applying online, you will be asked for your credit card information. For additional ways to pay, please contact the Graduate School.
