This Agricultural Economics program from University of Arkansas will ready students for careers in government or public sector, policy analysis, researcher or analyst positions in industry or agribusiness. Additionally, students interested in obtaining a Ph.D. will find that this concentration prepares them for their continued education. Students who enroll will conduct in-depth research and write results via a thesis project. At the culmination of the program, students must pass a final oral comprehensive examination in defense of the thesis and successful deposit of final approved written thesis with the UA Graduate School and Library.

A conferred post-baccalaureate, master, or doctoral degree (excluding professional degrees) from a regionally accredited institution.
The Graduate School requires the GRE (e.g. GRE code 6866) or comparable standardized examination for admission consideration for degree seeking students. Exemptions have been approved for some programs. Please contact your program of interest to determine if you are required to submit official test scores.
