Overview

On the Higher Education and Student Affairs program at University of Connecticut students complete the core academic classes over their two- or three-year plan of study. In addition, students have a variety of elective graduate courses that are offered through the Neag School of Education or the University.

Key facts

All full-time students who are on the two-year plan of study, are encouraged to hold graduate assistantships to provide the professional and practical experience that allows students to apply theory to practice.

We also welcome students who currently work full-time in a higher education and student affairs or aligned role and who wish to further their education with a master's degree.

Students must hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university

Students must have one of the following to be considered:

A cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.2 for the entire undergraduate record, or

A G.P.A. of at least 3.2 for the last two undergraduate years, or

Excellent work in the entire final undergraduate year (3.5 or better), or

Graduate work with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or better (minimum of 9 graduate credits required)
