Our program in English Education at the University of Georgia is designed for credentialed secondary school teachers and leverages the experience of practicing professionals and distinguished faculty. As a student, you can take courses that fit a working teacher's schedule and that support your individual areas of interest.

Three (3) letters of recommendation
International applicants are required to submit either their TOEFL or IELTS scores.

Your 3 letters of recommendation should be from individuals who can evaluate your scholarly ability and potential for success in a graduate program.

Although the program recommends at least a 2.5 undergraduate GPA, most applicants greatly exceed that. Those candidates whose undergraduate grades do not represent their future potential should use the essay portions of the application to make their case for admission.
