Public Administration graduates at the University of New Orleans are found in a variety of fields and policy areas across all career sectors. Mission of the UNO MPA Program
In support of UNO's urban mission, the MPA program seeks to enhance the quality of public service, primarily in the Greater New Orleans area, through:
- Academic programs that prepare students for leadership in public and nonprofit organizations;
- Research that is relevant to the tasks of public administration and policy making, and;
- Outreach that applies faculty expertise to the needs of the broader community.
Accreditation
The UNO MPA program is one of four MPA programs in Louisiana that are professionally accredited by NASPAA.

General requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in the U.S. or a 4-year degree equivalent from a recognized institution of higher learning abroad.
- Applicants enrolled in the final year of a bachelor's degree or international equivalent will be considered for conditional admission.
- 3.0 grade point average (GPA) on a 4-point scale for all graduate coursework

- Curriculum Vitae or Resume
- Enter the names and contact information for the three persons who will submit letters of recommendation for you (academic references are preferred)
- Submit official transcripts from each institution that you have attended. International students may also need to submit certified English translations and evaluations of your transcripts.
