Overview
Our Early Childhood Education program at University of Hartford focuses on using an integrated model to prepare students to work with families, provide inclusive services for children, and collaborate with other industry professionals. Teachers will have the skills to work in public and private schools, childcare centers, and community-based programs with children between birth and age 8.
Classes are designed to meet the needs of adult learners, and you can continue to work full-time as you study. Classes generally meet one evening per week in the late afternoon or evening. Final student teaching experiences will require your availability during the day.
