Program Description

The Special Education with Education Specialist Credential program at the University of California, Riverside will prepare you to navigate all areas of teaching, and can be completed in just over a year.

You'll earn your Education Specialist Instructional Credential in mild/moderate and moderate/severe authorizations in one-year (4 quarters), and coursework for your M.Ed. in Special Education will be completed in the 5th quarter of the program.

The Personal History Statement is about your background, culture, economic and social experiences, and how those elements have led you to pursue a graduate degree.

The writing sample should be a final class paper submitted for a previous course on any topic. Not to exceed 30 pages.
