The General Educational Studies program of University at Albany provides you with the most flexible way to earn a graduate degree that will qualify you for professional certification in your initial content area.

You can create a highly personalized program of study that meets NYS-mandated criteria by requiring you to complete 12 graduate credits in the content area of your initial certification.
