Overview

A major strength of the Master of Integrated Sciences at the University of Colorado Denver is that a student’s curriculum is as individualized as the students themselves.

Students will select 2 to 3 departments within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) from which to take courses. These courses are tailored to focus on a multidisciplinary research area, ultimately culminating in either a Master’s thesis or a Master’s project.

What you can study

The MIS programme targets the natural, physical, mathematical, and computational sciences. As such, the primary departments from which students typically choose their emphasis are: biology, chemistry, computer science, mathematics, and physics.

The graduate application form for the University of Colorado Denver, including all application fees.

A statement of purpose specifying why the applicant wishes to be admitted to the programme, the applicant’s primary area of interest, and his or her career goals.

Three (3) letters of recommendation from individuals who can speak to the applicant’s academic qualifications, of which at least two (2) should be from academic sources.

Transcripts from all institutions of higher learning attended by the applicant.

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

A minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale; however, applicants with an undergraduate GPA below 3.0 may be considered if they have taken Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and if the scores are forwarded to the programme office.
