Overview
Accounting Forensics from Roosevelt University prepares studenst to use auditing and investigative skills to determine the accuracy of financial reporting documents. Also referred to as forensic auditors or investigative auditors, they assist lawyers in performing investigations or act as expert witnesses in the litigation process. In the Master of Science in Accounting Forensics program, students gain the required knowledge to advance in the field by working on teams in small classes, with case analyses and written and oral presentations.
Careers
Graduates work with businesses, nonprofits, and individuals who need help advising on criminal activity including fraud, embezzlement, money laundering, concealment of debt or other fraudulent activities. Common career paths include work in law enforcement; state and local government; corporations; private practice; or banking, brokerage, insurance and other financial services industries.
