The Computer Science - Online program at Georgia Institute of Technology is for students who want a top-ranked degree, but also the flexibility to fit it in around their work and family lives. In OMSCS, all required courses and activities are supplied asynchronously, which means you can view them on your own schedule. You can take one course per semester, and take up to six years to finish the degree. We graduated 10,000 alumni in our first 10 years, and we know how to teach and support our online students.

General requirements

Preferred qualifications for admitted OMSCS students are an undergraduate degree in computer science or related field (typically mathematics, computer engineering or electrical engineering) with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Applicants who do not meet these criteria will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

For all applicants, domestic and international, the following is required for admission:

Before you can matriculate at Georgia Tech, the Institute requires that you must have earned the appropriate academic credentials: "Evidence of award of a bachelor's degree, its equivalent, or higher degree (prior to matriculation) from a regionally accredited institution; demonstrated academic excellence; and evidence of experience in the selected field of graduate study."
For international applicants, satisfactory scores on the Test of English as a Foreign Language is required
