A minimum GPA of 3.0 in your overall bachelor's degree program.

One year of college-level study of a foreign language with a grade of “C” or better

Three letters of recommendation, preferably from English professors (one from a secondary teacher is optional).

Graduate Record Exam (GRE) verbal score near 600 (former GRE scoring system) or 160 (new GRE scoring system); test scores can be no more than 5 years old.
