About the Program

The Network Communications program at University of Houston builds upon Technology Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (TAC-ABET)-accredited baccalaureate degree programs in the fields of computer, electronic or electrical engineering technology, and related fields.

The program provides an advanced knowledge of communication between and within computer networks, including data processing in the network environment, network operations software and operating systems, and communication systems. The program will emphasize the following topics: network security, network management, and project management. Graduates are prepared to be advanced level technologists in computer applications in industry and technology instructors for educational institutions offering baccalaureate and associate degree programs.

Application Fee: The application fee for all applicants to graduate programs in the Technology Division at the Cullen College of Engineering is $75. The international application fee for international applicants is $80.

3 Letters of Recommendation.
Personal/Goal Statement: A personal/goal statement is a 1-2 page essay describing your current employment and your professional intentions.

GPA Requirement: Applicants must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a cumulative grade point average of 3.00 (A=4.00)
