Overview

The dual degree offered by Loyola Marymount University's will confer two degrees upon its graduates: a Master in Business Administration and an M.S.E. in Electrical Engineering. Taking the dual degree program saves the student several courses compared to the two programs taken separately. Students may also obtain either the M.S.E. in Electrical Engineering degree or the MBA degree as stand-alone by fulfilling the individual degree requirements.

The dual degree program is designed to be completed in approximately three years. Typically, electrical-engineering classes are completed first, followed by taking the required classes in the MBA program.

Students can begin the dual degree program in any semester. It is recommended that incoming students take a full course load of electrical-engineering courses the first year and begin the MBA curriculum in year two.

All applicants must possess a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or other closely related fields

Applicants who do not have adequate background in Electrical Engineering may be required to take additional undergraduate courses.
Transfer Credit: Students may transfer six semester hours for courses completed at another accredited college or university. The credits to be transferred must be taken prior to admission, with each course obtaining a grade of B (3.0) or higher. Transfer credit must not have been used to satisfy degree requirements at another college or university.
