The University of Nebraska Omaha's Business Administration and Nursing MBA/MSN program graduates will be prepared to anticipate change and to make decisions that balance patient outcomes and the overall cost of care.

The University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) and University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) have collaborated to offer you an exciting dual-degree graduate program that prepares you for healthcare leadership in increasingly complex clinical and business environments. Earn your MSN in Nurse Leadership and an MBA at the same time, while continuing to grow in your career.

Students at the University of Nebraska Omaha benefit from:

56 credit hours (+ UNO's BSAD 8110 Accounting and ECON 1200 Economics foudational courses if needed) shared coursework between each program allows them to complete the programs with less credit hours than completing each degree alone
500 clinical practicum hours that can be completed at their location
Flexibility – option to complete in 4-6 years, part-time
Ability to complete both degrees online with one immersion weekend, or take evening classes on campus

General requirements

Admission may be granted to an applicant whose record includes at least the following:

2.85 junior/senior grade point average
Resume (employment and educational history)
Applicants are required to have a command of oral and written English. Those who do not hold a baccalaureate or other advanced degree from the United States, OR a baccalaureate or other advanced degree from a predetermined country on the waiver list, must meet the minimum language proficiency score requirement in order to be considered for admission.
The minimum TOEFL score required for the MBA is 80 for the internet-based test, or 6.5 for the IELTS, or 53 for the PTE.

Students qualifying for admission based on the standards outlined above but lacking MBA foundation courses will be granted provisional status until all foundation courses are completed with grades of "B" (3.0 on a 4.0 scale) or above.
