Overview
The Master of Laws is offered by Samford University. Cumberland School of Law’s Master of Laws (LL.M.) is a 31-hour master's degree program offered completely online. Designed for professionals who have previously earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.), the program will help position you for advancement in your current field or it can help set you apart for a new career path. Our faculty are industry experts, practicing attorneys, Cumberland School of Law faculty and Samford University faculty from other disciplines.

Our program prepares students for professional careers through real-world courses and training and encourages graduates to pursue relevant professional credentials from industry-leading organizations. Students are empowered to communicate and interact effectively with attorneys, compliance professionals, and other members of the legal community, while developing core competencies in a specialized field of study which are necessary for professional success. All applicants must complete and submit an application. All materials must be submitted through the online system which includes detailed instructions. General requirements
- Possess a baccalaureate degree in a health or business-related field from a college or university with institutional accreditation or possess any baccalaureate degree and currently work in or have three years prior healthcare experience.
- Submit official transcripts.
- Have a C or better in an accounting course from a college or university with institutional accreditation.
- Have a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale overall or in the last 60 hours of course work.
- The GRE must be within the last five years, with a combined Verbal and Quantitative score of 300 and Analytical 4.0.
- Submit three letters of reference through the application system.
- Submit a resume highlighting work experience, strengths and other accomplishments.
- Submit an essay on reason for seeking the M.H.A. and a career goal statement.
- Submit a video interview.
- International applicants: TOEFL or IELTS score
