Overview

The JD/MA in Law and Peace and Justice Concurrent Degree from University of San Diego is designed as a four-year commitment. Students spend the first year completing required coursework through the law school. The second year is devoted to Kroc School coursework In the final two years, students will take classes at the School of Law and the Kroc School to complete the requirements for both degrees.

Graduates pursue careers in immigration, human rights, advising global clientele, as lawyers who influence policy and as public interest lawyers who seek to tackle broad questions of social justice using both law and policy frameworks.

Maintain a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Submit a current resume or curriculum vitae detailing relevant education and employment history.
Provide two letters of recommendation from individuals who can assess academic, professional, or personal qualifications.
Applicants with a GPA of 3.3 or lower should include at least one academic reference or explain academic preparedness in the personal statement.
Submit four short essays, totaling no more than 1,000 words, addressing social issues, challenges, personal inspiration, and alignment with the Peace and Justice program.
