The Master of Science in Sports Science (MSSS) at Nova Southeastern University is an online program that focuses on human performance.

Research conducted by our faculty includes the areas of body composition, exercise performance, sports neuroscience, sports biomechanics, sports supplements, and elite athletics.
Graduates are encouraged to pursue careers in research, strength and conditioning, sports science, fitness, and continued graduate education.
The program offers the option to conduct research under faculty mentorship or participate in a specialized internship in the field of sports science.
Students will explore core courses at the master's level and apply practical skills in various virtual and practical settings.
Accreditation
NSU’s M.S. in Sports Science program is endorsed by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) in the areas of strength and conditioning and research.
The NSCA’s Education Recognition Program (ERP) recognizes regionally accredited academic institutions for their educational programs that have met, and continue to meet, educational guidelines recommended by the NSCA.
ERP recognitions are good for three years and schools are eligible for renewal following this three-year period.

- Submit the completed NSU application and the $50 non‑refundable application fee.
- Provide a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university or an approved credentialing agency for international students.
- Meet the minimum cumulative GPA requirement of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale.
- Submit final official transcripts from all institutions attended.
- Provide a TOEFL score if English is not the applicant’s native language.
- Submit an official course‑by‑course evaluation of foreign coursework from a NACES‑approved service if applicable.
- Successfully complete a professional interview with the NSU MSSS Admissions Committee, offered only to applicants who meet all requirements.
