Overview
Why Earn Your Master’s Degree or Advanced Certificate in Early Childhood Education? The early years of birth to age 8 are crucial in terms of a child’s intellectual, social, and emotional development. As an early childhood educator, you’ll take a key role in helping your students develop and setting them up for success in the classroom and throughout their lives. Adelphi’s master’s in early childhood education is offered as a single certificate or can be completed as part of a dual certificate in early childhood and early childhood special education. The mastery and expertise you’ll earn will set you up with the skills to teach all children in this age range with confidence. We also offer an advanced certificate in early childhood special education. The preservice program in early childhood is available to those without prior teaching certification. The inservice program in early childhood is available to those with prior teaching certification in another area. The advanced certificate program is for those who have a teaching certificate in another area and a master’s degree who wish to be certified in early childhood.
