Key facts

This is achieved through the completion of graduate courses in the student's major area of interest as well as in related areas. Students in this program may not apply concurrently for entrance to the Ph.D. program.Students must complete a minimum of 45 graduate-level units, 36 of which must be taken at Stanford. The Iberian and Latin American Cultures program is offered at Stanford University.

All 45 units must have a letter grade of B or above. Students enrolled in the terminal M.A. program must file a Program Proposal for a Master's Degree during their first quarter of enrollment. Any changes to the proposal should be reviewed and approved by the Chair of Graduate Studies.

Electronically submitted application and statement of purpose.
Electronically submitted transcripts from every post-secondary institute attended (unofficial copies are accepted during the Admissions process, but official copies will be required if an offer of admission is extended). The graduate admissions website request that you send two official copies to departments.

Three letters of recommendation must also be submitted. One letter of recommendation should focus on your language skills.
